Signs of Suicide Prevention Program (SOS)
The SOS program is a youth suicide prevention program that improves students’ knowledge and adaptive attitudes about suicide risk and depression, as well as a reduction in actual suicide attempts. The program is video based with discussion questions and can be easily implemented by school personnel within one class period. Participating schools receive materials containing everything needed to implement the program.
Question, Persuade, and Refer (QPR)
QPR is a 1-hour training program similar to First Aid and CPR is an innovative, practical, and proven suicide training. The training empowers people, regardless of their background, to make a positive difference in the life of a person that they know. Participants learn the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help. This training is for the general public.
