“Get a Face Like This Model! Look Like a Celebrity, It’s Easy!”
These phrases and more plaster billboards, magazines and many other sources. Women see this sort of thing and feel an urge or force to look like the picture perfect celebrity who is so photo shopped that when people see these celebrities in public they are shocked with the acne, redness, freckles, laughing lines. These are all natural “blemishes” that we are made to have. It is completely okay to have these, it is our imperfections that make us perfect.
There is nothing more genuine than a girl who will take a picture without editing it. Make up is great, by all means. Girls these days use apps like ‘Perfect 365’ ‘Picture Perfect’ ‘Photo Magic.’ These apps are perfectly fine, don’t get me wrong, but they are allowing women to change how they look. A woman will change how she looks in a picture and become an image that is not who she really is. These days it is really hard for women to understand that God made them a certain way, because there is no one else like them. Although society has changed the perfect image concept. It is an option for anyone to fall into this relentless aspect of life, some do and some just don’t. In this way women manipulate and destroy their bodies to look like someone else. Women go “under the knife” and get plastic surgery to physically change their bodies. Society has encouraged this as well, there isn’t an ad out there that will tell you not to change because they want you to go to their company and change. It all seems good fun until something goes wrong, or you realize that you are only chasing a dream image that you can’t catch.
Girls, you are beautiful. All your imperfections , your blemishes, your tiniest acne, it makes you who you are and you are one of a kind. Each and everyone of you is perfect in your own way and you do not need some billboard telling you what is wrong and right. You are wonderful.
